How to Make Delicious Lemongrass Chili Shrimp

Lemongrass Chili Shrimp

Ingredients:

  • 500g of shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons of minced lemongrass
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of minced ginger
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 green chili, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chicken stock powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup of chopped scallions
  • Coriander and sliced chili for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tails on.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the minced lemongrass, garlic, ginger, red chili, green chili, salt, sugar, chicken stock powder, and black pepper.
  3. Heat a wok or frying pan over high heat and add the vegetable oil.
  4. Add the shrimp to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
  5. Add the mixture of lemongrass, garlic, ginger, and chili to the wok and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Add the fish sauce and oyster sauce to the wok and stir-fry for an additional minute until everything is well mixed.
  7. Turn off the heat, add the chopped scallions and stir well.
  8. Transfer the shrimp to a serving dish and garnish with coriander and sliced chili.
