Ingredients:
- 1 package of wonton wrappers
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Chopped cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, shrimp, ginger, garlic, green onions, egg, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
- Take a wonton wrapper and place 1/2 teaspoon of filling in the center. Brush the edges with water and fold the wonton in half, forming a triangle. Press the edges together to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add wontons and white pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes or until the wontons are cooked through.
- Season with salt to taste. Garnish with cilantro before serving.
